Started Small & Growing to Meet Demand

The foundation created, staffs and supplies a school in Kasoa New Town, Ghana. We started in a rented three-bedroom apartment with 20 students and now have 160 students with more on a waiting list.

Recently, the foundation acquired land and we are in the process of building a new school. Your donation can help us accept more children in need as well as buy equipment such as buses to transport the children to the new school and supplies such as books, school bags and etc.

We are also looking to help children in other communities and countries in Africa. Currently, we are corresponding with community leaders in Monrovia, Liberia, to see if we can make a difference for the children in this community as well.

We Can’t Do It Alone

"It takes a village to raise a child," according to an African proverb. While the proverb is believed to have originated from the Nigerian Igbo culture, this sentiment has been in existence in Africa for centuries and there are numerous proverbs from different cultures across the continent that convey the same message in different ways.

The Lighten a Childs Future Foundation Inc. embraces this village sentiment as well. That’s why we help the community by organizing a variety of cleanups and projects, including clearing mosquitoes from drains, addressing public sanitation issues and improving streets. A strong community with an improved standard of living along with education can brighten the future of many children.

According to UNICEF.Malaria remains the largest single killer of children in Ghana, taking toll of approximately 20,000 children death every year. Lighten A Childs Future Foundation Inc. (LACFFI) is designed to draw attention to the crisis affecting children and families across the nation or the globe and help promote equality for all children.

Donate today and join our “village” of supporters helping to create a better future for a child in need. The Lighten a Childs Future Foundation Inc. is an international charity dedicated to improving the lives of children in Africa through education and assistance to the community.
